Added value(s)
1. experience & NETWORK
I am a fundraiser, a donor, a volunteer. Bringing 15 years of experience in working with/for 100+ nonprofits in Europe, Africa, Asia and Latin America allows me to provide you with solutions. I combine this experience with a good network and attention to the latest (international) fundraising and philanthropy developments. Whilst I know a lot, I won't pretend to know everything. When you contact me, you can be confident that you get the right person for the job. If a trusted colleague is better placed to help you, then I will bring him/her on board or connect you.
2. An affordable investment
Fundraising and philanthropy are an investment but I also believe they should be affordable. Your resources are precious and can only be used once. I aim to help you realise your dreams and goals, not to generate as many billable hours as possible. All services are tailored to your exact needs to save you time and money. I will always think along with you for the most effective and cost-efficient solution, even if this means advising against a fundraising approach (yes, that happens). My fee structure is transparent and straightforward (hourly rate or fixed fee). There is no commission on results, ever. The standard hourly fee is 90 euro for short-term assignments (1,5 hrs+). Weekly/monthly assignments are possible at reduced rates. This excludes 21% VAT and expenses, like database fees or travel costs, which require your prior written consent.
3. I CARE
Your goals are important to me, your time is valuable. I care and I will go the extra (s)mile for you. You can already see that in my services, which go beyond just training/consultancy, and include doing the fundraising work. Working independently allows me to be flexible and safeguard your best interests at all times. This is one reason why I do not work on commission based on results. A statement of no conflicting interests is part of every agreement.
4. PROFESSIONALISM, honestY & ethics
I am very flexible, but professionalism, honesty and ethics are non-negotiable. I work in voluntary compliance with the Ethical Code of the Belgian Association of Ethical Fundraising (Vereniging van Ethiek in de Fondsenwerving) and the UK Code of Fundraising Practice. You can be confident that I will always tell you what you need to hear, even if that´s not what you may want to hear. And if there is a challenge, then I help you find a solution.
5. Big picture
A solution is only a solution if it works for your entire organisation. No matter how detailed your question, I keep an eye out for the big picture; your dreams, vision/mission/values, team and stakeholders. From experience, I also know where fundraising, communications, financial management, HR intersect and how to stimulate cooperation.
6. happy people
There is fun in fundraising and philanthropy. I try to preserve and cultivate that. The biggest reward in any assignment is the smile of happy beneficiaries, clients and stakeholders. I value, protect and respect the relationship with your board, staff, volunteers, beneficiaries and other stakeholders.
7. guaranteed DIscretion & confidentiality
Fundraising and philanthropy are often like working in the kitchen of a very fine restaurant. One sees the inner workings of organisations. Absolute discretion is therefore guaranteed from the first contact onward. I happily sign a non-disclosure agreement before our first meeting if you prefer this.
